Where Joyful Learning Begins with a Purpose

About Early Start

At Early Start, we believe the early years are full of potential—every scribble, every question, and every small discovery shapes little learners for life. Our mission is to nurture curiosity and growth through thoughtfully designed books and tools that strike a balance between structure, intention, and joyful play. We support parents, educators, and homeschoolers in creating meaningful moments, helping children develop practical skills while strengthening emotional connection and confidence.

Meet, Prachiti.

Founder, Early Start

Prachiti Mhatre is the heart and mind behind EarlyStart. With over 20 years of global experience across India, Japan, and Canada, Prachiti has held diverse roles—including RECE, Supervisor, Vice Principal, and School Director—giving her a unique perspective on what truly helps young children thrive.

A passionate educator, parenting coach, and parent, Prachiti believes the early years are some of the most powerful in a child’s life. She understands that these years can also feel overwhelming for both parents and children, which inspired her to create resources and guidance for joyful, purposeful early learning. Beyond her books, Prachiti offers group and personal sessions for families—covering everything from setting up early learning at home, establishing routines, choosing the right school, meal times, balancing screen time, and implementing positive discipline strategies that actually work.

Early Start Book Series

Book One :
Scribbles To Lines

Aged 2+

Every big journey begins with a simple line… As parents, caregivers, and educators, we all want to give our little ones the best start—but knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming. That’s exactly why I created Scribbles to Lines, the first book in my Early Start series, designed for curious toddlers aged 2 and up.

Book Two:
Lines to Letters

Aged 3+

A note from the founder

As a parent and educator, I’ve seen how small, intentional steps in the early years can spark curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting bonds. What began as simple, intentional activities with my own child evolved into Scribbles to Lines, the first workbook in the Early Start book series. Every activity is tried, tested, and loved—first at home, then with hundreds of children I have guided over the years. My approach blends structure with play, nurtures essential school-readiness skills, reduces screen time, builds routines, and creates meaningful bonding moments between adult and child. My goal is to help families enjoy these formative years—full of play, learning, and connection—without feeling overwhelmed. Every page, session, and conversation I create is guided by one core belief: early learning should be rooted in love, joy, and real connection. Let’s give your child an Early Start—together.

Parent Stories

"My 2.5-year-old took to Scribbles to Lines immediately! He especially loves the little mascot, Ahi, and now looks forward to finding out what Ahi is up to on every page. We usually spend 10 minutes on it each time with a crayon or toddler sized small pencil, and it’s been such a fun way to get him started on early writing skills. Highly recommend for any parent looking for an easy, engaging way to introduce their toddler to writing. I would love to see Ahi the mascot come to life as a soft toy!"
"Excellent resource for parents to help in early learning. Easy to follow activities, very entertaining and engaging for children. I am very pleased with this purchase and so proud it’s written here in Canada."
